Mission "Farewell"

Today is March 26th. I received my call to the Philippines Naga Mission on November 9th, 2011. I had my farewell at my home ward in Idaho yesterday. I report to the MTC on April 4th. The anticipation just keeps growing and growing. I felt very grateful to everyone that was able to come to my mission farewell, both in Idaho yesterday and in my singles ward a few weeks ago. My uncle Bob was able to come to my singles ward farewell. It was really good to see him and his family for the first time in at least a year. Yesterday I spoke in my home ward up in Idaho. That was an amazing experience. I was able to speak with my very good friend Ryan Hansen. He has been an amazing influence in my life ever since I met him. For the rest hymn we sang my favorite hymn #29 "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief". I love the message that that hymn brings that the service that we do to others we are also doing for the Savior and for our Heavenly Father. I spoke on General Conference. Next Sunday, the Sunday before I leave, is the next General Conference. I was VERY grateful to see SO many people there! My father, stepmother, and their daughter came from Logan. My  Uncle Chuck and his family came from Ucon. My mothers parents came. My friend Kirstie Pelot came. My uncle Bill from Ammon came with his wife. One of my past Young Mens leaders, Orlan White, was there too with his family from Meridian. After sacrament meeting my mother took me to her ward where we went for sacrament there. Afterwards, Hansens wife Lisha, had offered to host an open-house for us, which we went to. I was very grateful for the time and energy that she spent getting her house and everything ready for it. I will turn 20 just a few days after I go into the MTC and she got a cake and put candles in and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me. I had a really great time at the open-house! It was very nice to sit and joke around with my old friends in the 26th ward. It was very nice to see Natalie Coombs, Jackson Hunter, Kendall Nebeker, Justin Kirby, Jeff Peterson, Natasha Hill, and everyone else that came from the ward! My cousin Jeb was able to come to! I am so grateful for all of the friends and family that I have and all of their support that they give me!
